  • Having a professional quality management system in place helps us to continuously plan, assure, control and improve our products and ensure output consistency.
  • The primary focus is to meet and exceed our customers´ expectations by maintaining the high quality of our products through efficient process monitoring and quality management systems.
  • Monitoring and testing systems in place are:
  • a) On farm level (ponds water, pond soil, Ice, effluent water, shrimps)

    b) On processing level (processing water and/or ice, shrimp)

  • Moreover, a cold chain with strict temperature control established from farm to factory, within the factory and during the transport to customers ensures product freshness.

How are we organically Certified?

Certification is based on annual audits by independent and accredited certification companies.

  • European Union

    Our organic Black Tiger supply chain is certified against the strict standards of the European Union for organic aquaculture since 2015. Certified under Control Union Certifications Production Standards and Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 and Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 on organic production of gricultural products and indications referring thereto on agricultural products and foodstuffs, including the amending regulations, and Control Union Certifications (CU) Inspection Regulations.
    The certificate is valid until 28 May 2020

  • German Naturland Association

    We are certified by the German Naturland Association. Their organic aquaculture standards include social requirements. The certificate is valid until 30 April 2021

  • National Programme for Organic Production (Under process)

    Lately, the Indian government has published standards for organic aquaculture under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP).Blue Sea Aquaculture aims to become the first organic aquaculture project certified according to the Indian NPOP standard for organic aquaculture. The preliminary audit has been done in September and certification has been achieved (in conversion).

Traceability

Our traceability system allows to track information regarding date of harvest, name of processing plant etc. for our international as well as domestic customers. Our staff is committed to guarantee availability of all data tracking our products from farming to the end customer.

Other Certifications
